The famous clear stream Nagara river runs through Gifu city is the capital city of Gifu province. Manimani is located in accessible Gifu city's downtown "Yanagase" area. It's only 15min walk from train station. It's easy to go sightseeing in the central Gifu area by bicycle or public bus. Going further an hour drive to outside the city, going onsen, swimming in a river, eating Japanese soba or grilled eel, and coming back to Manimani in a night time, going out to Izakaya (Japanese style restaurant bar) or drinking and chilling out at Manimani. Come to this no ocean but beautiful riverside, surrounded mountains, good middle city Gifu. It's comfortable city you bet! Welcome back, Backpackers!

About 30min from Meitetsu Nagoya station to Gifu station. --From Chubu Centrair International Airport, Nagoya-- About 1hour by Meitetsu train to Meitetsu Gifu station. --Car-- "Don Quijote Yanagase" or "Takashimaya Gifu" will be the guide. (The hostel doesn't have a car park. Please park your vehicle at a pay parking lot near the hostel. Please be attention, Hostel Manimani is located in the pedestrian mall area.)
